Who We AreGFWC Tallahassee Junior Woman's Club is part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. GFWC is one of the world's largest and oldest women's volunteer service organizations. Working locally through thousands of clubs in the United States and globally in more than 20 countries, Our members support the arts, preserve natural resources, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, stress civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding. Mission StatementGuiding PrinciplesMEMBERS: Our members are our most important asset. We will strive to meet the needs of individual members as well as those of the community. COMMUNITY SERVICE: Our volunteer work will serve the community by meeting identified needs in line with our established priorities. QUALITY: Our work is important and we take pride in doing it well. We are committed to delivering quality service and producing positive results. LEADERSHIP: We will offer opportunities to our members to develop leadership skills which are applicable to our club and to their family and community lives. We will provide a leadership role model to other individuals and groups and seeking to provide similar volunteer community service. ATTITUDE: We will undertake everything that we do with a positive attitude, anticipating success and enjoyment in all endeavors, whether community service or social interaction with one another. PARTNERSHIP: We will work in partnership with GFWC and other clubs and groups of similar intent and purpose, so that the impact of our work will be increased. TEAMWORK: We will work as a team with our fellow members. We respect differences or opinions, recognizing that the best ideas result from open and honest communication. As members, we will support each other and the principles of the club.
